Learning From History is war ever justified?

The Princeton Jazz Quartet Pen in hand, SP was there.
They are absolutely the warmest memorable jazz you'll hear for a long time. Don't miss them! I tell ya, you've got to be that old to be that smoooooth!

The Specifics:

You’re invited to come to the Princeton Club in NYC to hear the Princeton Jazz Quartet consisting, on piano, of Pete Blue, ’57; Ed White, ’56, on bass; Tom Artin, ’60, on trombone, and Alan Bergman, ’58, on drums.

The four started with the Princeton band, Triangle Show and some groups but soon reached beyond the campus playing with the Nassau Jazz Band, the Tigertown Five and the Johnny Eaton Quartet, performing at the Newport Jazz Festival and Carnegie Hall and recording for Columbia Records and other labels.

Tom and Pete have gone on to successful careers in music, Alan is an entertainment attorney in New York with a significant jazz clientele and Ed traveled the world during a career with the Peace Corps and UN. The music they perform
is in the mainstream jazz tradition.

Milton and Kraft Dazzle Crowds in The Big Apple

Two classmates ventured to NYC recently to instruct and entertain, JIM
KRAFT on Henry James and JOHN MILTON on the Catalan composer Enrique
Granados.
Jim’s event was part of a monthly series, each one on a different Henry
James novel, held at The Mercantile Library on East 47th.  In his November
class, he led an entranced couple of dozen mostly senior students to some
conclusions they hadn’t suspected, in the meantime, in response to their
questions, adding thoughts on Melville, Pirendello, Jane Austin, Einstein
and Dostoyevsky.
If you’re interested in attending others, email or call Turhan Tirana.
John’s event was sponsored by the Foundation for Iberian Music with the
support of the Spanish consulate general in New York, and held at the CUNY
graduate center on lower 5th Avenue.  It included a recital and panel
discussion of, besides John, the pianist who gave the recital and a
musicologist from a California university.
Classmates attended both events.
